Your patient stays your patient

Worth putting first, because it is the thing that stops most referrals happening. Patients referred to Cameron for cosmetic work are returned to the referring practice for their routine and ongoing care. He is not looking to take on general lists and he is not going to quietly absorb yours.

You get a written summary of what was assessed, what was recommended and what was carried out, along with anything relevant to their continuing care, so nothing lands back with you as a surprise.

What Cameron takes on

Direct composite bonding

including layered anterior work, diastema closure, peg laterals, black triangle management and incisal edge bonding

Minimal preparation porcelain veneers

planned with a printed trial smile

Digital smile design and complex anterior aesthetic planning

Tooth wear management and anterior rehabilitation

additive where the case allows

Pre-restorative alignment with Invisalign Go

where straightening reduces the restorative burden

Second opinions on anterior aesthetic cases

including ones you would rather not start

And what he refers out

Stated plainly, because a referral list is only useful if the boundaries on it are real.

Implant placement

Cameron restores implants but does not place them.

Complex orthodontics beyond the scope of Invisalign Go

Which go to a specialist orthodontist.

Surgical periodontal work

Which is carried out in collaboration with a periodontist rather than alone.

Endodontic retreatment

And other cases where a specialist opinion is the right starting point.

How the case is handled

Refer a patient

You send the referral

Practice details, patient details, the reason for referral and anything you have already discussed with them. Radiographs and photographs welcome but not required.

Full assessment

Photographic series, radiographs, OPG where indicated, intra-oral scan and a bite assessment. Cameron plans the case himself.

Plan and consent

The patient receives a written plan with the sequence, the timescale and the total. You receive a summary of the recommendation.

Treatment, then handover

Treatment carried out, aftercare explained, and the patient returned to you with a written summary and any maintenance requirements.

Teaching and mentoring

Totally Composite, one of the most respected composite bonding courses in the country, asked Cameron to be a clinical tutor. If you are interested in the courses, or in mentoring on anterior composite and minimally invasive planning, get in touch directly rather than through the patient referral route.

Send it over and he will look at it

If you are not sure whether a case is one for him, send it anyway. He would rather tell you it is not than have you not ask.
